(g) Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereigns, 1863 [No Die Number], Type IA (2), second larger young head, W.W. incuse on truncation, rev. crowned normal shield in wreath, edge milled, 8.00g, 7h; another, similar, 7.96g, 6h (MCE 524; Marsh 46; Spink 3852D), both lightly contact marked, the second with a hairline to the neck and red deposits to the reverse legend, both residually lustrous, bold very fine (2).
