(g) Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereign, 1866 [Die 14], second larger young head, W.W. incuse on truncation, rev. crowned normal shield in wreath, edge milled, 8.01g, 6h (Marsh 51; Bentley 1071; MCE 527; Spink 3853), trio of pellets flaw [?] below the T of GRATIA, otherwise bright and lustrous with sporadic bagmarks, almost extremely fine, the reverse with flashy brilliance and much as issued.
