(g) Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereign, 1869 'Doubled Date' [Die 45], second larger young head, W.W. incuse on truncation, rev. crowned normal shield in wreath, edge milled, 7.96g, 7h (Marsh 53; Bentley -/1121; MCE 529; Spink 3853), some nicks to rim otherwise handsomely lustrous, almost extremely fine, the reverse better still with field frosting.
