(g) Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereign, 1869 [Die 57], second larger young head, W.W. incuse on truncation, rev. crowned normal shield in wreath, edge milled, 7.98g, 6h (Marsh 53; Bentley 209; MCE 529; Spink 3853), lightly bagmarked, otherwise pleasingly lustrous, about extremely fine, the reverse better with handsome field frosting.
