(g) Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereign, 1871 [Die 32], second larger young head, W.W. in relief on truncation, rev. crowned normal shield in wreath, edge milled, 7.98g, 7h (Marsh 55; Bentley 1149; MCE 531; Spink 3853B), die flaw through A of GRATIA and a tiny nick to reverse rim at 9 o'clock, usual trifling bagmarks, otherwise the obverse handsomely choice, the reverse reminiscently proof-like, an attractive and bold extremely fine.
