(g) Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereign, 1872 [Die 73] (2), second larger young head, W.W. in relief on truncation, rev. crowned normal shield in wreath, edge milled, 6h, 7.98g; 7h, 7.99g (Marsh 56; Spink 3853B; MCE 533), the first wiped and contact marked, very fine, the second lightly contact marked and with a scratch to the cheek, otherwise with a pleasing flashy lustre, bolder very fine (2).
