(g) Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereign, 1872 [Die 90] (2), second larger young head, W.W. in relief on truncation, rev. crowned normal shield in wreath, edge milled, 6h, 7.99g; 7h, 7.97g (Marsh 56; Spink 3853B; MCE 533), both with some contact marks, more so to the second, the first with a die through to the I in GRATIA, both lustrous, the first about extremely fine, the other very fine (2).
