(g) Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereign, 1872 [Die 95], second larger young head, W.W. in relief on truncation, rev. crowned normal shield in wreath, edge milled, 6h, 7.97g (Marsh 56; Spink 3853B; MCE 533), small die flaw to the bottom of the truncation, the 2 in date double struck, a touch of rub to the bust, otherwise with a most handsome lustre, more so to the reverse, good very fine / nearing extremely fine.
