(g) Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereign, 1872 [Die 111], second larger young head, W.W. in relief on truncation, rev. crowned normal shield in wreath, edge milled, 7h, 7.96g (Marsh 56; Spink 3853B; MCE 533), lightly contact-marked and with a touch of rub to the hair, otherwise with a pleasing residual lustre, more so to the reverse, good very fine, the reverse better.
