Victoria (1837-1901), silver Florin, 1880, Gothic type, crowned Gothic bust left, Latin legend in Gothic letters with ornate border surrounding, victoria d: g: britt: reg: f: d: mdccclxxx, date in legend in Roman numerals, rev. crowned cruciform shields with emblems in alternate angles, quatrefoil at centre, denomination 'One florin' in upper half, 'one tenth of a pound' in lower half, toothed border surrounding, edge milled (Bull 2900; Davies 771 dies 7+B; ESC 854; S.3900). A superb example of an increasingly popular coin, some minor surface marks with good residual mint lustre, reverse better, graded by NGC as MS63.

The Latin legend translates as "Victoria by the Grace of God, Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith", with the Roman numerals as 1880.
