William III (1694-1702), silver Sixpence, 1697, third laureate and draped bust right, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GVLIELMVS. III. DEI. GRA., rev. crowned cruciform shields, large crowns, Lion of Nassau at centre, date either side of top crown, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, .MAG BR.FRA ET.HIB REX., edge grained (Bull 1233; ESC 1566; S.3538). Struck off-centre but otherwise an attractively toned example revealing strong subdued lustre, graded by NGC as MS64.

NGC Certification 6381699-001

The Latin legend translates on the obverse as "William the Third by the Grace of God", then continuing on the reverse as "King of Great Britain, France, and Ireland".
