Silver Proof S.GE31, FDC in the Royal Mint box of issue with certificate number R500 of 500 minted, featuring the stunning reverse design as used on the Gothic Crown of 1847. When produced with today's minting techniques, the frosted shields and background contrast beautifully with the brilliant background, the reverse with the date in Roman numerals, (mmxxi) in the style of the original Gothic Crown. Another extremely eye-catching large issue in the Great Engravers Series showcasing the designer's craft, as popular with collectors as the previous 'Una and the Lion' and 'Three Graces' issues that preceded it
