Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society Medal Fire Medal in silver awarded to John Darlington, for Gallant Service 6/12/1927, for saving two children in a house fire at 7 Monk Street, Birkenhead. Reference: Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society Annual Report January 1928 (pages 41,42 and 43) Good Fine, with numerous edge knocks, comes with a handwritten account of the incident, also with a note stating that the medal was purchased from the family of John Darlington, whose children used the disc to play Hopscotch. The suspension survived and has been reunited with the medal with a repair to the clasp
