Pr-2172. In the name and types of Alexander III of Macedon. Obverse: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin; Reverse: Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; in left field, star above MI (civic) monogram above lion standing left; monogram below throne. An elegantly toned Tetradrachm with a well-produced portrait of Herakles. The reverse is crisply detailed and complemented by fully lustrous fields. A wonderful example of the type.
