CARIA. Alabanda. AR Tetradrachm (16.65 gms), dated CY 6 (162/1 B.C.). NGC Ch VF, Strike: 5/5 Surface: 2/5. Graffiti.
Pr-2466. In the name and types of Alexander III of Macedon. Obverse: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin; Reverse: Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle and filleted scepter; in left field, Pegasos springing left. A visually striking Tetradrachm that displays deep gray toning with metallic iridescence on its broad flan. Both sides exhibit a well-executed strike, and the noted graffiti on the fields is scarcely noticeable.
