HGC-10, 61; Pr-3365. In the name and types of Alexander III (the Great) of Macedon. Obverse: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin; Reverse: Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle and scepter; palm tree in left field; below throne, monogram below strut. A charming example of this later Alexander-type issue with attractive bright surfaces. Some marks are noted on the reverse fields, but the piece remains pleasingly original.
