TITUS, A.D. 79-81. AR Denarius, Rome Mint, A.D. 79-80. NGC Ch VF. Flan Flaw.
RIC-124; RSC-313A. Obverse: Laureate head right; Reverse: Pulvinar (throne) of Jupiter and Juno: square seat, draped, with tassels and triangular frame with five palmettes. A charming Denarius from Titus' brief period as Augustus before his untimely death in A.D. 81. Featuring an attractive portrait and dove gray surfaces with hints of underlying luster, this is a wholesome example of the type. The obverse is slightly off-center and a flan flaw is noted on the rim, but the coin is otherwise problem-free and quite appealing.

Estimate: $150 - $250
