Rx: SAECVLARES AVGG around, S C in exergue, Hippopotamus standing r.This coin was minted to celebrate the 1000 year existence of Rome. Philip was either a humorous man, to put a hippo on his wife\'s coin, or was demonstrating his great respect for the empress by putting such a rare and valuable animal on the reverse. Thus far, we have not been able to interview him to see why he made such a decision. EF
