Burns does not record a piece dated 1580 with crowns in second and fourth quarters of the cross and thistles in first and third quarters
The only recorded example in SCBI vol. 58 no. 1440 which is the Richardson example item in the addenda 273; this coin has a large chip, resulting in the king's name being missing from the legend
SCBI vol. 58 assumes there is an O in king's name; however, such is not the case with this coin
