Jahangir (AH 1014-1037/1605-1627 AD), Ahmadabad Mint, Silver Zodiac Rupee, 'Leo' Sign, Corresponding to Ilahi month Amardad, AH 1027/13 RY, 'Zar Ahmadabad' Couplet, Obv: lion emerging from the sun with the regnal year 13 at the bottom, Rev: Persian legends "zar Ahmedabad ra dad zewar, Shah Jahangir Shahenshah Akbar", with the Hijri year at the bottom, 11.1g, 20.56mm, (KM # 150.11), centrally struck, about very fine, Extremely Rare.

Note: "Leo' was a special sign for Jahangir because it was his birth sign as per Iranian astrology. The lion and sun were also the Mughal emblem of the state, as the sign of Leo was considered to be a domicile of Jupiter, the planet which is associated with kingship.
