Note: Kasinath Das, the head engraver at Calcutta mint prepared the design of Obverse B by using L.C. Wyon's Design. Until now, the Obverse B was known from the year 1872, struck with the Reverse type II, with 10 dots above the bottom flower on one rupee of 1862.
This is the first publicly offered coin that shows the Obverse B was used in the year 1873 as well, it has 1/1 dot (top and bottom), struck from an old die by erasing the bottom 10 dots whose traces are visible.
