Printed English text on this letter reads – "Copy of letter no. 6829, Currency Office, Cawnpore, 21-12-16. From, The Currency Officer. To, Parbati Birli, C/o Rt Parshattamji Inalaviya, Near Gopi Shukulo Temple, Ahiyapore, Allahabad City. Madam, I have the honour to forward herewith G.P. note no 210892/1900-1 for Rs. 500/- belief the amount of security deposites by late Rt Kedar Nath a shroff of this office. Please acknowledge the receipt. I have the honour to be madam.
Your most obedient servant". Signature "(SL) J. W. Kelly" Asst, Acctt. General. In Black ink.
Note: J. W. Kelly was the Controller of the Currency of India from 1935-39.
