The Imperial Order of Franz Joseph, 1849
Knight`s Cross, instituted in 1849. Breast Badge, 58x31.5 mm, Silver gilt, enameled, maker`s mark "Rothe, Vienna" and silver marks, hinged reverse centre medallion, original red ribbon with fine "Kleindekoration" of the Commander`s Cross with War Decoration of a lower grade and swords, also of a lower grade, in gold, enamels and patinated silver, the inside of the ribbon, stamped "SCHWAAB WIEN". The original, gilt silver decorations of this order made by Rothe, are uncommon to see. A beautiful, rare piece, extremely fine condition. I R!
