CONSTAN-TINVS AVG / C•H Victory advancing left, holding wreath in her right hand and palm frond in her left. Ramskold, Silver emissions (2018), p. 183, note 124. RIC -. RSC -. Extremely rare, one of only two known examples. Nicely toned. Somewhat chipped on the edge and with minor traces of corrosion, otherwise, good very fine.

From the collection of Dr. L. Ramskold, formed since 1969.

This is one of only two known examples with the emperor wearing a plain diadem with the C dot mint mark. Similar examples showing a rosette diadem were attributed to Constantine I by Ramskold (Silver emissions [2018]), while those with a plain diadem were assigned to Constantine II as Augustus.
