Commemorative Series, circa 4th-5th century. Half Siliqua (Silver, 13 mm, 1.09 g, 12 h), Constantinopolis. Draped bust of Roma to right, wearing crested Attic helmet and pearl necklace; all within pelleted circle. Rev. Large P within pelleted circle. Bendall, Anonymous Silver, RN 158 (2002), Type 7 and pl. XII, fig. 15. Cohen VII, p. 327, 3. RIC -. RSC - . Extremely rare. Slightly porous and with a few minor deposits, otherwise, about extremely fine.

From the collection of Dr. L. Ramskold, formed since 1969.

This and the next specimen are double die matched. The style is clearly later than 330. Bendall described a very similar example and suggested a 5th century date.
