LOWER DANUBE. Imitations of Thasos. Late 2nd-1st century BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 33 mm, 15.39 g, 12 h). Celticized head of Dionysos to right, wearing wreath of ivy and fruit. Rev. Celticized Herakles standing front, head to right, holding club in his right hand and lion skin in his left; around, imitative legend. OTA Class 3. Some flan cracks and minor marks, otherwise, very fine.
