LUCANIA. Metapontion. Circa 540-510 BC. Stater (Silver, 28 mm, 8.07 g). ΜΕΤΑ Ear of barley with nine grains; border of dots within two concentric linear circles. Rev. Incuse ear of barley with nine grains; rayed border. Gorini 12. HN Italy 1467. Noe Class III, 113. Well struck and attractive, with a lovely and sharp reverse. Light marks and minor weakness on the ethnic, otherwise, good very fine.
