LUCANIA. Metapontion. Circa 340-330 BC. Nomos (Silver, 20 mm, 7.79 g, 12 h). Head of Demeter to left, wearing wreath of grain ears, pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. ΜΕΤΑ Ear of barley with leaf to right; to left, kerykeion above ΛY. HN Italy 1556. Johnston Class A, 1.11. Harshly cleaned and the obverse struck off center, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
