Elizabeth I (1558?1603), Shilling, sixth issue, mintmark hand, bust 6B, crowned bust left, wearing dress with incuse diagonal lines between straps, inner beaded borders both sides, legend surrounds ELIZAB DG ANG FR ET HIB REGI. Rev, long cross fourchée over square?topped shield, POSVI DEV ADIVTOREM MEV, surrounds, 6.18g (S.2577; N.2014; Brown and Comber 6B). Struck on a large flan, few metal impressions and contact marks, legends clear with some pleasing accuracy to the portrait. About very fine.
