Charles I (1625?49), Unite of Twenty Shillings, Tower Mint, group D, fifth crowned bust left, falling lace collar, unjewelled crown, value XX in field behind, legend and beaded border surrounding, initial mark portcullis (1633?34), reads CAROLVS DG MAG BR FR ET HI REX, Rev, crowned quartered oval shield of arms, C to left, R to right, legend surrounding, FLORENT CONCORDIA REGNA, 9.05g (S.2692; N.2153; Schneider 149). Toned with an excellent portrait, the falling lace collar intricate,, some field die breaks. Rev, pleasing with few soft areas, some ghosting in legends. Extremely fine or better.
