Charles II (1660?85), Halfcrown, third hammered issue (1660?62), crowned bust left, value XXX behind with inner linear circles, mintmark crown both sides, stops either side of obverse mintmark, legend surrounds CAROLVS II DG MAG BR FR ET HIB REX. Rev, long cross fourchée over quartered shield of arms, CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO surrounds, 14.80g (S.3321; N.2761; ESC 456). Lightly toned, well centred, flan flaw on obverse at 9 o'clock synonymous with the type. Bold fine for a notoriously weakly struck series.
