George III (1760?1820), Halfpenny, 1770, no stop on reverse variety, laureate and cuirassed bust right, reverse Britannia standing left with shield and spear (S.3774, BMC ?? ). About extremely fine, a hint of lustre. Encapsulated by NGC as AU58, one of the finest known for this rare variety.
