George IV (1820?30), Sovereign, 1825, type II, bare head left, date below truncation, legend and toothed border surrounding GEORGIUS IV DEI GRATIA. Rev, crowned quartered shield of arms, BRITANNIARUM REX FID DEF surrounds (S.3801; M.10). Lightly toned with rich lustrous fields, some contact marks and scratches, nicely detailed in the Kings portrait, possibly cleaned or wiped in the past. Rev, strong details in the coat of arms with some red original mint bloom beneath the strings of the Irish harp. Near extremely fine
