George IV (1820?30), Crown, 1821, Secundo, laureate head left, B.P. below truncation for Pistrucci, legend surrounding from bottom left, GEORGIUS IIII D G BRITANNIAR REX F D. Rev, St George slaying dragon right, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right of exergue. Edge inscription DECUS ET TUTAMEN. ANNO REGNI SECUNDO (S.3805; Bull.2310; ESC.246). Prooflike fields, struck with highly polished dies, exceptional detail in both the portrait and legends with one small die flaw running from the G in DG to the nose, few carbon toning spots. Rev, bold and well presented, few contact marks in the waist region of the horse. Brilliant uncirculated.
