Rev, St. George slaying dragon right, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right of exergue for Pistrucci, edge milled, 7.92g (S.3866B; WR.333; Bentley 322; Marsh 125E). Well struck up, the portrait intricate in all of the details showing no signs of wear or distortion set off against rich lustrous fields, pleasing wide rims. Rev, equally impressive with attractive fields surrounding the George and Dragon motif. A trace of field disturbance around the face, perhaps lightly rubbed, otherwise brilliant and about as struck, scarce.
