George VI (1936?52), Gold proof Set, four coin set issued in 1937 comprising of a Five Pounds, Two Pounds, Sovereign and Half?Sovereign with bare head of King left, HP raised below truncation for designer Humphrey Paget, legend surrounding GEORGIVS VI D:G: BR: OMN: REX F: D: IND: IMP. Rev, Saint George slaying the dragon right, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right of exergue for Benedetto Pistrucci, edges plain, housed in original maroon Royal Mint case with tissue paper, mintage 5,501 (S.PS15; W&R: 435,437,439, 442). Some slight hairlines as is the case with almost all of these sets, minor edge irregularity on the two pounds at 6 o'clock from the reverse vantage point, toning spots on the half sovereign. Otherwise uncirculated. The five pounds particularly bold with a modest cameo effect.
