Denomination between two lines with legend above and below (KM Tn4; Hern. GT2). In NGC holder graded MS 63, rare. Only one example known finer in NGC population. Brian Hern states that these pieces were used briefly by the Griqua people. He points out that these tokens were the first money specifically minted for, and used by, a South African people. It is not known if they were called 'pence' or another local name.
