Iraq 1947 (ND 1953) P-34 PMG Superb Gem UNC 67 EPQ 1 Dinar
B/1 prefix. Tied for finest in the PMG population report, and an incredibly rare opportunity to acquire an Iraqi kingdom note at this elite grade level. Near perfect centering, strong embossing, bright colors, and overall exceptional eye-appeal.
Although dated 1947 this type was not issued until 1953. A short-lived issue, an updated note with a slightly modified portrait was introduced in 1955. As a heavily used denomination in Iraqi commerce at the time of issue very few of these were put aside for today's generation of collectors. In fact, we can confidently say that the available supply of Gem Uncirculated notes is nowhere near enough to satisfy demand. At the Superb Gem Uncirculated level this becomes a grade rarity destined for only the finest collections. An opportunity for the Iraqi specialist not to be missed.
