Turkey ND (1926) / AH1341 P-121a PMG Very Fine 25 10 Livres
The rare 10 Livres from the very first series of notes of the Republic of Turkey, which was established by Mustafa Atatürk in 1923. The country did not formally adopt the new Turkish alphabet until 1928, so most of this note is in Arabic, which was the official language prior to 1928. The denomination on the front is also spelled out in French. A very scarce type in any grade, and one we have not had the pleasure of offering before. This is a problem-free example with good color for the technical grade, problem-free, and perfect for an advanced Turkish type set.
