Roman Republic, Titius, Denarius
Nice denarius minted in Rome in 90 BC by one of the monetary triumvirs, Quintus Titius. The offered denarius was minted after the first victories in the so-called war with the allies (91-88 BC). In 90 BC, Lex Iulia was passed - a law created by Julius Caesar, a relative of the famous later victor of Gaul, which granted Roman citizenship to all allies with Rome (socii). Despite this act, Rome's situation was very difficult. For the purposes of the campaign conducted in 90 BC, each of the tres viri monetales: L. Piso Frugi, Q. Titius and C. Vibius Pansa minted at least several different variants of their coins. The coinage of the silver denominations of Titius, including the two basic types of denarii, and the quarries, which are linked by the representation of Pegasus on the reverse.

Denar wybity w Rzymie w 90 roku pne przez jednego z triumwirów monetarnych, Kwintusa Titiusza. Oferowany denar został wybity po pierwszych zwycięstwach w tzw. wojnie z sprzymierzeńcami (91-88 pne). W 90 roku pne uchwalono lex Iulia - ustawę stworzoną przez Juliusza Cezara, krewniaka słynnego późniejszego zwycięzcy Galii, która przyznawała wszystkim sprzymierzonym z Rzymem (tzw. socii) rzymskie obywatelstwo. Mimo tej ustawy sytuacja Rzymu była bardzo trudna. Na potrzeby prowadzonej kampanii w 90 roku pne każdy z tres viri monetales: L. Piso Frugi, Q. Titius i C. Vibius Pansa wybili przynajmniej po kilka różnych wariantów swych monet. Mennictwo srebrnych nominałów Titiusa, obejmujące dwa podstawowe typy denarów oraz kwinary, które łączy przedstawienie Pegaza na rewersie.
