Marius, also called Marnurius and Vecturius, was a blacksmith by profession, after joining the Roman army he was promoted to the position of general. After the death of Postumus and with the help of Gallic legions, he proclaimed himself emperor (c. 267-268 CE). He was a brave and active man, with the strength he had in his hands and fingers. His gold coins are extremely rare. Brown and silver antoninates are much less, although they are not popular either.

Marius zwany też Marnuriusem i Vecturiusem, był z zawodu kowalem, po wstąpieniu do armii rzymskiej awansował w szeregach na stanowisko generała. Po śmierci Postumusa i przy pomocy legionów galijskich ogłosił się cesarzem (ok. 267-268 n.e.). Był odważnym i aktywnym mężczyzną, odznaczającym się siłą, jaką miał w dłoniach i palcach. Jego złote monety są niezwykle rzadkie. Brązowe i srebrne antoniniany znacznie mniej, choć do popularnych też wcale nie należą.
