Head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Eagle with spread standing left on thunderbolt; no control marks. CPE B143 corr. (no silphion plant); Svoronos 72; Asolati 42; SNG Copenhagen –. Dark brown surfaces, patches of green encrustation. VF.

While CPS notes the presence of a silphion plant in the left field as a control mark, the photo of the plated example does not show this feature. Asolati does not mention a control mark, and the photo there confirms this reading.
