KINGS of PERSIS. Vahšīr (Oxathres). 1st century BC – 1st century AD. AR Hemidrachm (15mm, 1.82 g, 3h). Type 2. Istakhr (Persepolis) mint. Bearded bust left, wearing diadem and torque; symbol to right / Vahšīr standing left, holding scepter and sacrificing before altar to left. van't Haaff, Persis, Type 582/585; K&M 4/21; Tyler-Smith, Parcel 125; Alram 583; cf. Sunrise 606. Iridescent toning, slight doubling on reverse, tiny edge split. Good VF.
