MACEDON, Thessalonica. Nero. As Caesar, AD 50-54. Æ (14mm, 2.18 g, 7h). Bare head right / Horse trotting left; above, star, behind left, palm branch. Touratsoglou 3-4 (V2-3/R–); RPC I 1590; Varbanov 4249. Brown patina, minor pitting. Near VF. Extremely rare, this reverse die unknown to Touratsoglou. Finer than any Touratsoglou plate coin or any published in RPC.
