LYDIA, Sardis. Marciana. Augusta, circa AD 105-112/4. Æ (19.5mm, 5.70 g, 6h). Struck under Trajan. Draped bust right, wearing elaborate coiffure / Pelops riding horse right, holding whip in his raised right hand. Kurth 418; RPC III 2398; BMC 132-3. Glossy black patina with deposits, cleaning scratches. Near VF. The only type for Marciana from Sardis.
