Canada Montreal, PQ- Merchants Bank of Canada $10 1.2.1916 Ch.# 460-18-04 PMG Extremely Fine 40. A spectacular issue printed by The British American Banknote Co. The face design on the green tinted 1916 issue was slightly altered from that of the 1906 notes by the addition of the portrait of D.C. Macarow at left, which replaced the image of a river pilot formerly occupying that spot. Pinholes and minor rust are noted but they do not seem to detract from the overall visual.
