Japan Greater Japan Imperial Government Note 10 Yen 1881 (ND 1883) Pick 19 PMG Choice Very Fine 35. An impressive highest denomination issue from the Meiji 11-14 (1878-81) "Empress Jinju" issue is offered here. Minor repairs, which were tastefully executed, are mentioned on the back of the third party holder. This lovely note features the portrait of the legendary Empress Jingu, who is said to have began her rule in the year 201, and is the first female to be printed on a Japanese banknote.
