Netherlands Netherlands Bank 25 Gulden 1.8.1914 Pick 29 PMG Very Fine 30. The Netherlands Bank prepared multiple banknote series at the outbreak of World War I despite the Netherlands proposed neutrality. An issued series of similarly designed notes is offered in today's sale, all in Remainder format. This 25 Gulden is fully issued and is extremely rare. Either its issuance was brief or print totals were small, but either way, this note is missing from most collections. We have not offered this type in the past and there are no sold examples from a global, traceable auction house in the last 15 years. This is the first and only example graded in the PMG Population Report at the time of cataloging. A key note for the Netherlands and an opportunity that may not present itself again for some time.
