Anglo-Gallic Coinage - Edward the Black Prince, Prince of Aquitaine (1362-72) - Gold Pavillon d'Or PCGS MS 63 - Mint: La Rochelle - Obverse: Standing figure of Black Prince with sword and pointing finger, four ostrich feathers around bending to right, all within Gothic portico, two lions at feet, legend with quatrefoil stops and beaded circles surrounding - Reverse: Cinquefoil in central compartment of ornate cross with acorn terminals within quatrefoil over cross quernee, large trefoils in spandrels, legend with double annulet stops and beaded circles surrounding - gr. 5,37 - Very rare, with an excellent depiction of the Black Prince and well centered.
