KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 38 mm, 15.71 g, 1 h), Chios, 188-170. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left, holding in outstretched right hand eagle standing right, and long scepter in left; in left field, two monograms above vine-tendril with grapes around an oenochoe. Price 1688. Well centered. Very fine.
